Africast Team Gets Marching Order

The Management of the National Broadcasting Commission has approved the theme for Africast 2010. The 8th edition of the biennial conference will be organised around the theme: Africa in digital transition: Options and Perspectives.

Giving the Africast Unit its marching orders, the management charged the organisers to ensure that Africast 2010 continues with the trend of surpassing previous editions in terms of organisation, participation and impact.

Thanking the Management for the confidence reposed in the Africast Team, the Coordinator, Mallam Awwalu Salihu gave the assurance that the Africast Unit will do its uttermost to keep the tradition.
He explained that this year, the unit is introducing Master Classes to help broadcasters, especially cameramen, producers, directors and engineers to get the best out of their digital equipment as the country marches towards the change over on June 17, 2012.

The Coordinator used the opportunity to invite all broadcasters on the African continent to take advantage of the offerings at Africast 2010 to strengthen their digitisation programmes.
